The CBS ArcSafe® Chicken Switch® RSK-CS01W is a wireless remote switch kit (RSK) designed to safely operate control switches with pistol-grip handles from outside the arc-flash boundary.
- Wireless Operation: Uses a 2.4 GHz wireless handheld controller that allows the operator to stand up to 100 feet away indoors (or 200 feet line-of-sight) while closing or tripping the switch.
Power Source: Powered by a standard Milwaukee® M18™ REDLITHIUM™ rechargeable battery. The kit typically ships with the CP2.0 battery, but it is compatible with other M18 batteries.
Non-Invasive Mounting: Attaches temporarily to the switchgear door using two heavy-duty magnets (each rated at 55.1 lbs of force / 13,200 gauss). It requires absolutely no permanent modifications to your existing electrical equipment.
Mechanics: A motor and gearbox inside the actuator physically rotate the control switch. An intelligent microcontroller monitors the inputs, limits mechanical travel to prevent damage, and includes thermal shutdown protection.
Compatibility: The CS01W is the most common model in the lineup, designed to fit an estimated 90% of the pistol-grip switches found on switchgear. Common compatible OEM switches include the Electroswitch Series 24/24P and the General Electric SB-1
A complete RSK-CS01W setup includes:
The motorized actuator assembly
Wireless handheld controller
Milwaukee M18 battery and approved charger
Waterproof and durable Pelican® carrying case

The core purpose of the RSK-CS01W is distance safety. By removing the technician from the immediate vicinity of the switchgear during operation, it drastically mitigates the risk of injury from an arc-flash event and can often reduce the need for cumbersome, full-body arc-flash hazard suits.
