The GE ETSTESTKIT03 (instruction manual DEH-503 / replaces older publication DEH-233) is a specialized secondary injection test kit designed exclusively for GE’s Entellisysâ„¢ Low Voltage Switchgear System.
Because Entellisys uses centralized processing rather than individual trip units mounted on each breaker, the ETSTESTKIT03 connects a laptop running GE’s software through a hardware DAQ chassis.
It injects 7 analog channels and multiple digital signals directly into the Messenger unit’s A/D converters. This simulates power line characteristics to test:
Protection Curves: Long Time, Short Time, Instantaneous, and Ground Fault.
Advanced Relay Functions: Over/Undervoltage, Over/Underfrequency, Phase Loss, and Reverse Power.
Breaker Actuation: Verifies physical trip signals sent to the breaker’s flux shifter.
System Architecture: GE / ABB Entellisys Low Voltage Switchgear.
System Component: Plugs into the test port of the EntelliGuardâ„¢ Messenger (the central CPU architecture/A-D converter module that runs the central processing for the entire Entellisys lineup).
Compatible Circuit Breakers: It tests any low-voltage power circuit breaker operating within an Entellisys setup, primarily:
GE EntelliGuard G power circuit breakers (when deployed in an Entellisys lineup).
GE WavePro circuit breakers (when integrated into an Entellisys framework).
