The Megger SMRT1 is an ultra-portable, single-phase relay test system. Weighing just under 9 pounds, it is designed to be extremely rugged for field use while combining high compliance voltage with high current to test electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based relays.
High Output Power: The current channel provides 30 Amps continuous (at 200 VA) for timing tests, and can be pushed to 60 Amps (at 300 VA) for short durations to test instantaneous overcurrent elements.
High Compliance Voltage: The unit features a unique flat power curve and a 50V compliance voltage, giving it the pushing power required to test older, high-burden electromechanical relays.
Standalone Operation: It can be operated without a computer using Megger’s Smart Touch View Interface (STVI), a high-resolution color touchscreen controller with built-in test routines. For automated testing, it runs via RTMS or AVTS software on a PC.
IEC 61850 Testing: The network interface is fully equipped to handle modern digital substation protocols, allowing it to publish and subscribe to GOOSE messages and Sampled Values.
Scalability: While it is inherently a single-phase unit, you can daisy-chain multiple SMRT1 units together via Ethernet to seamlessly synchronize their outputs, creating a complete three-phase (or higher) testing system.
